Massive Challenge is an annual fitness contest where the winning male and female competitor will receive $500 in prize money.
All current Massive Workouts bootcamps or personal training members are automatically entered into the challenge, which is held quarterly.
The Massive Challenge for 2010/2011 is a ‘maximum repetition’ contest that involves 5 x 1 minute exercises. Your final score is the combined total of repetitions you complete in the following exercises. You must do the exercises in the order below.
1. One (1) minute of 20 meter shuttle runs (each 20m lap you complete = one repetition)
2. One (1) minute of push-ups (each complete push up = one rep)
3. One (1) minute of sit-ups (each complete sit-up = one rep)
4. One (1) minute of squats (each complete squat = one rep)
5. One (1) minute burpees (each complete burpee = one rep)
Your goal, of course, is to do the maximum number of ‘reps’ you can in each minute. Add together your reps for each exercise and that is your total score!
Now all you need to do is practise, practise, practise! There will also be prizes for the most improved result!
